Dig For Victory Allotment Garden
Print this page

The Friends of The Donnison School have been so busy with the many aspects of the World War II project. However the most recent addition to the Donnison site over the past few months is the re-creation of a WWII Anderson Shelter and a small Dig For Victory Allotment garden. Volunteers and children from Broadway Juniors school worked togtehr to plant potatoes, beans, sprouts and much more.

The Anderson Shelter was a great success. The children enjoyed hearing what it was like and actually seeing the shelter and exploring inside the shelter while listening to the air-raid warnings.
